If you like slow meditative movement this workshop is for you. This inspiring workshop led by professional performer and dancer Rachel Gomme as part of CAAKE’s exhibition programme will guide through you a process combining meditative movement, breathing and work with materials to explore our bodies in relation to space and the material world. Beginning with shaping a piece of clay, we will introduce other materials such as stones and fabric, finding how they change the way we move around the room. By the end you will participate in a group creating a shifting sculpture of moving materials that have inspired some of the work in ‘Readings in Passage- Reflections’ project.

NOTE: Clay objects created at the end can be fired and collected at a later date as a memento of the workshop.
